Position: Flight Attendant Manager

Overview: A Flight Attendant Manager is a mid-level management position responsible for overseeing the flight attendant department of an airline, including managing staff, developing and implementing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and ensuring high-quality service delivery to passengers.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the flight attendant department, including hiring, training, and scheduling staff
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to flight attendant operations, including in-flight service, safety, and emergency procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to flight attendant operations, including Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, company policies, and standard industry practices
  • Develop and manage budgets for the flight attendant department, including staffing, training, and equipment expenses
  • Monitor performance metrics and develop action plans to address areas for improvement in service delivery or operational efficiency
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for other departments within the airline, including maintenance, operations, and customer service, to ensure smooth coordination and communication
  • Represent the flight attendant department in meetings with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, industry organizations, and other airlines

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as business, hospitality, or aviation management (may vary by airline)
  • 5+ years of experience in flight attendant operations, including experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to flight attendant operations, including FAA regulations and industry standards
  • Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures, and to monitor compliance with these policies
  • Familiarity with budgeting and financial management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Strong customer service skills and a commitment to ensuring a safe and enjoyable in-flight experience for passengers.
