The following questions should NOT be answered in the STAR format.<\/p><ul><li aria-level=\"1\">Why <b>do you think<\/b> your previous experience has prepared you for this job?<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Do you think<\/b> being a flight attendant is a glamorous job?<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\">Why <b>do you think<\/b> you would be a good representative of (airline name here)?<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\">What does great customer service <b>mean to you<\/b>?<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\"><b>What are<\/b> your responsibilities in your current position?<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\"><b>What are<\/b> your strengths \/ weaknesses<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-94a861e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"94a861e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>STAR is an acronym that stands for\u00a0<\/p><p>(S) situation\u00a0 (T) task\u00a0 (A) action\u00a0 (R) result<\/p><p>To determine if the question should be answered in the STAR format, <b>The question will start with something like \u201cTell me about a time when\u2026\u201d<\/b><\/p><p>When you hear that, they are asking you to tell them a story.\u00a0<\/p><ul><li aria-level=\"1\">Tell me about a time when you faced an emergency.<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\">Tell me about a time when you received great customer service.<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\">Tell me about a time when you gave great customer service.<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\">Tell me about a time when you worked as a member of a team.<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\">Tell me about a time when you had a teammate that wasn\u2019t pulling their weight.<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\">Tell me about a time when you had a disgruntled customer.<\/li><\/ul><p><b>Notice that the question \u201cWhy do you want to be a flight attendant\u201d is NOT\u00a0 in this list, because it&#8217;s not a behavioral question.<\/b><\/p><p>Rules for picking the STAR format story:<\/p><ol><li aria-level=\"1\">It needs to be a specific story (if it has happened several times, just pick one time).<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\">It needs to have a happy ending. Pick a story where you were successful in your task of solving the problem and having the customer have a great experience.<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\">You need to follow company policy and procedure, no exceptions. You don\u2019t know what information they may have about you, assume that they don\u2019t have your resume. How does the airline want to be seen?<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li aria-level=\"1\">The recruiters want to hear \u201cWhy do you want to work for our airline versus another airline?\u201d.<ul><li aria-level=\"2\">\u201cIs there something about our airline that you like?\u201d<\/li><li aria-level=\"2\">\u201cIs there something about the airline that you can support?\u201d<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p>Then rewrite your second list into a more professional answer and incorporate the \u201cWhy should the airline hire you?\u201d list and the Airline brand list.<\/p><p>Your second list\u00a0 will put your personality into the answer.
